Open letter of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Industrial Zones Authority

For nearly 15 years after the foundation, Ba Ria -Vung Tau province has developed significantly in the political, culture and social-economic sectors. The economy development is typical with the right direction economy conversion, high growth, effective execution of the local industrialization, modernization, which gradually achieves the target to make Baria-Vungtau to become an industrialized province having sea-economy strengh in period 2010 – 2015 as stated in the Resolution of the Fourth Congress of Provincial Party’s Committee. Baria-Vungtau Industrial Zones contributed significant part to those achievements.

Industrial parks and export processing zones are important in Vietnam’s industrialization and modernization

Vietnam expects to become an industrialized country by 2020, and the development of industrial parks (IPs) and export processing zones (EPZs) is a crucial, concrete move to realize this target. IPs and EPZs began to appear in Vietnam in 1991, when the first, Tan Thuan, came into existence in HCM City. Since then, they have been developed strongly, mainly in northern and southern Vietnam. They play an important role in restructuring the economy from an agricultural one to one that has fully embraced industrialization.

Nhằm mục đích quan trắc lâu dài, bảo vệ các tầng nước ngầm trên địa bàn tỉnh, ngày 16 tháng 12 năm 2005 Ủy ban Nhân dân tỉnh Bà Rịa – Vũng Tàu đã ra quyết định số 4943/QĐ-UBND phê duyệt đề cương và kinh phí đề án “Nghiên cứu và xây dựng mạng quan trắc nước dưới đất tỉnh Bà Rịa – Vũng Tàu”.

In April 06, 2007 Ba Ria - Vung Tau Industrial Zones Authority issues Investment certificate number 492031000029 approving the  Hong Ha-Ba Ria-Vung Tau Incorporated Company to perform Precast concrete Hong Ha –Ba Ria-Vung Tau number one manufactory in The Phu My 1 industrial zone. Main product is concrete, capacity is 120.000 m3/year with total investment capital is 22.4 billion VND, expected the project’ll come into real operation in August, 2007.

Early of the second quarter of 2007, BIZA has issued the Investment license to 02 projects which have 100% foreign capital

In April 2nd 2007, BIZA issued the Investment license number 492043000028 approving the Tong Hwei Investment Co.,ltd (Taiwan) to found the Trung Tuong Steel Ltd. Co with 100% foreign capital. This project is to refine the rough steel in Phu My II Industrial Zone, total investment capital is USD 60 million, total investment capital is USD 60 million. Main product of this project is rough steel, expected capacity is 1.000.000 ton/year, the square of using land is about 30ha. The project is expected to construct in 03 years, and come into real operation in 2010.

Heavyweight Essar’s 7m power play

One of the largest Indian steel manufacturers, Essar Global, last week received an investment certificate to debut in Vietnam as part of a 7 million steel joint venture with two Vietnamese firms.
